The world's fourth largest island, Madagascar has one of the world's most unique natural resource bases, including spices, cotton, raffia, sisal, fish, rice, a wide variety of minerals and petroleum. Its rich natural environment, competitive labor force and location at the crossroads of Africa and Asia, make it an island of opportunity for trade and investment.

THE COUNCIL USMBC is an independent, non-profit (501c6) organization of private businesses and individuals united to promote trade and investment between the United States and Madagascar. The USMBC works with the Madagascar - U.S. Business Council (MUSBC) and the Goverment of Madagascar. We identify and access together resources and programs in the United States to help alleviate poverty and promote technology transfer in Madagascar.
